How to Schedule Messages on Your Android Device - Step-by-Step Guide

Do you find yourself constantly forgetting to send important messages on time? Or do you want to send birthday messages to your friends and family precisely at midnight? Whatever the reason may be, scheduling messages on your Android device can be an incredibly useful feature. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process step-by-step.

Step 1: Download a Messaging App with Scheduling Feature

The first step is to download a messaging app that includes a scheduling feature. Some of the popular messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Google Messages have this feature built-in. You can also download third-party apps like Textra, Pulse SMS, and Mood Messenger. After downloading, install the app and set it up.

Step 2: Compose Message as Usual

Next, compose the message as you would usually do. Enter the recipient's name or phone number, type your message, and then hit the send button. But instead of tapping the send button, long-press the send button until the scheduling options pop-up.

Step 3: Set the Schedule

Now, select the schedule option and then choose the date and time you want the message to be sent. You can also choose the frequency, i.e., whether you want it to be a one-time message or a repeating message. Select your preferences and then tap on the save button.

Step 4: Verify and Send

After setting the schedule, the message will be saved in the outbox of the messaging app. You can verify the scheduled message by going to the outbox. If everything is correct, tap the send button and the message will be sent automatically at the scheduled time.

Step 5: Cancel or Edit Schedule

If you want to cancel or edit the schedule, go back to the outbox of the messaging app and select the scheduled message. You can then cancel it or edit the schedule according to your preferences.
